STUDY AND PRACTICE

"When the great swing has taken an individual into the world of symbolic mysteries, nothing comes of it, nothing can come of it, unless it has been associated with the earth, unless it has happened when that individual was in the body... And so individuation can only take place if you first return to the body, to your earth, only then does it become true." - C.G. Jung

Study and Practice - One to Three Years
Authentic Movement: Origins, Theory, Practice

Dyad - In supervised sessions, partners meet regularly to study the dynamic relationship between mover and witness. Learners explore ways to connect their inner experience to language. (Ten hours of dyad time to be arranged.)
Group - During five weekends, learners meet in the studio to explore the boundaries between the individual, the dyad, and the group. Shared stories and myths may emerge as an amplification of the collective.
Seminar. Each weekend includes a three-hour seminar. Learners have the opportunity to articulate and integrate their movement experience through reading, theoretical discussion, artistic expression and the development of a personal portfolio.

WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE?
- Who benefits from the study of Authentic Movement?

The transformative power of this work is profoundly connected to the creative source of therapy, artistry and our humanity.

Therapists will have an opportunity to gain an embodied understanding of the somatic intricacies in the therapeutic relationship.

Artists will have an opportunity to move through old patterns, and to reconnect with the lifeblood of their own aesthetic impulse.

Educators may replenish by returning to the wisdom of the body, as our original text.

Those who seek will have an opportunity to embody questions of the spirit
